Reflection- Do you agree with the Ted Talk?  Why or why not?  Will you change any of your current behaviors as a result of listening to this talk?  What impact do you think this digital age will have on society in the future?

I definitely agree with the Ted Talk because i see firsthand everyday how technology is affects the lives of young people. I will now make sure to spend more time off of my phone and more time outside or being with friends sand family. This digital age is a good thing for research,because we have countless information at our fingertips;however, I believe that we need to make sure that kids are not taking technology for granted and are building real relationships with others.

1/31/17 Blog Post

I agree with the principal's view on teenagers. We rely too much on technology to do things for us  and never put that trust in ourselves to get work done. As teens we live too much of our lives through a screen and not enough through our own eyes. Like the Principal said, we need to spend more time off our screen doing real work that will prepare us for the real world. We will get more life experience if we spend more time off of our devices.

• For my article specifically, i learned new ways to make websites and accounts look more interesting for its visitors. This can be very helpful if one day i start my own business.

1/26/17 Bookmarking: Symbaloo Vs. Chrome

Symbaloo:

Symbaloo is a website that allows you to bookmark sites into certain categories. I chose categories like, Fashion, makeup, and school. This is a great tool for grouping websites together that share a single purpose. My favorite thing about Symbaloo is how it can help me group topics I'm researching for school.

Chrome:

To bookmark websites on Chrome  i needed to click to star at the end of my screen. This made each bookmarked site appear at the top of my hope page. I liked this tool better than Symbaloo, because I think it's a more efficient way to categorize websites. Also, it takes less time to bookmark each of the websites in Chrome than Symbaloo. Since Chrome isn't as time consuming and easy to understand, I think I would like to bookmark my favorite websites.

1/24/17 Social Bookmarking

What is Social Bookmarking? 
 Social Bookmarking is when a person links or shares a URL to another person or website.
What is the purpose of Social Bookmarking?
 The purpose of this is to create a shortcut to get to a specific place on a website without having to search for the specific a URL.
 What Social Bookmarking tools do you use?  
 I use social bookmarking to link websites to my friends. Whether its sharing a YouTube video or sharing a database that will help with an assignment, social bookmarking is a great tool to help others find specific places on the internet.
How did you learn about or choose to use the social bookmarking tools that you use?  What Social 
 Bookmarking tools would you suggest to others? (If needed: feel free to spend a little time on the Internet before you complete this post)   The first way I learned to social bookmark a website it when i first used to cop and paste tool on the computer. I would recommend this tool for others, because it's easy to use.

1/23/17 My Weekend Summary

This weekend I went to a basketball game with my family. We had a great time watching the game and went out for a family dinner afterwards. On Sunday I played in a volleyball tournament all day. I had a lot of fun playing with my teammates! After the tournament I had to finish all of my homework, which took me three hours! I definitely didn't enjoy leaving all of my work to the last minute!

1/20 Prezi Reflection

• Which tool do you think is easier to use? Why?
•  I think that power point is much easier to use. This is because I've used the platform for many years now and have good amount of knowledge to be able make and interesting presentation on it.
• Which tool creates the more effective presentations? Explain.
•  I think PowerPoint creates more effective presentations. Prezi's platform is more fun and exciting to look at but wouldn't be appropriate for a serious setting.
• Is there a specific presentation time when one tool would be better than the other? Explain.
•  PowerPoint is a tool that is used in a serious setting. It can be used in business and school presentations because of it's simple structure.
• Which tool would you choose to use the next time you create a presentation? 
• I think I would use PowerPoint because I have more knowledge on how to use the tool successfully.
